Welcome to a planet called Arroumania.
The history of this place is vast, almost as vast as the land that wraps around its surface.
You see, Arroumania is a giant planet, about twice the size of the Earth you know, that is covered mostly in land, with great oceans cutting jagged patterns through the core of the land. There are three continents on this planet, all of which are ruled by their own separate Lords, and then there is a King or Queen of all three continents combined. The realm of the seas is, as of yet, unexplored and contained in complete mystery. The Lords' Kings have never been foolish enough to believe that the sea could be a part of their domain. Only the forests, mountains, deserts and grasslands can be called theirs.
The three continents that dominate this planet are called the Northern Continent, the Kingdoms' Continent, and the Witch's Continent as ruled by King Raulend in RT13, the 13th year of Recorded Time when the world was finally at peace, and an inter-continental governmental system had finally been settled upon. Of course, these continents are only named this by maps. The people who live there have completely different titles for them.
The Northern Continent is known to all of its peoples as Mother Rollounia. Rollounia is the only territory on the entire land mass, excluding the tiny territory of Seefnox (most noted for the small species of fox that inhabit it called Soffox) and a tribal land of Sabres. Even the people of Seefnox consider themselves Rollounian, with a side title that merely explains their species. The Sabres are simple people, but they too hold a pride in their hearts for the great northern waste that they have been struggling to survive on for thousands of years.
The Kingdoms' Continent is no different. Though it holds the greatest number of territories, it still has a name of old that the vast majority of its people prefer to use. It was once called Haersakia. Since the rename, the two largest territories went to war and split apart, literally splitting the name in two and taking what they considered theirs. The peninsular territory of Haerta is the smaller of the two (and the one that lost the war) and Basakia is the larger of the two. There are, however, two other territories ruled over by Lords. There is Gaerkinten and Polei, Polei being the smallest of them all, and Gaerkinten being a very large peninsula. A jutting, trianglur peninsula located below Basakia is a land ruled over by Sickels who are kind and warm-hearted people. All of the peoples of these lands, though torn apart by war and left with venom in their hearts, still call themselves Haersakians. The Sickel tribe land was going to be named Haersakia, almost as a keepsake of the nostalgic old name, but King Raulend had forbidden it, as the tribes were not conquered by a Lord and therefore were not officially part of the Lords' Kingdom. The Sickels were disappointed, but allowed this. There were none too eager to become the slaves of a Lord and preferred their freedom over the small dignity that came with having a name. As a show of peaceful protest, the chiefs of all of the tribes came together and named the united tribes FezommHaersakia which means "Small Haersakia" in the international language of the planet.
The third and final stretch of land, the Witch's Continent, had a name, once. There are very few people left on Arroumania who can remember a time when the massive piece of ice was peaceful, ruled by the kind Quoi people. Ever since the last of the Quoi had been driven out, its name was forgotten, just as their villages and vast farms of hardy plants had been. The history of this chunk of now uninhabitable ice is long and riddled with the blood of millions and blackened around the edges with the evil of a jealous daughter. Its new name is a bold accusation rather than a humble explanation. King Raulend wanted the entirety of Arroumania to be aware that the final continent under his rule was being held hostage by Lythia, the sister of the First King, Daniel. Daniel had long since passed away, but his sister Lythia was able to live on, using dark magicks and chemicals to preserve herself so that she could continue to live on. It is believed that she lives to this very day, finally finding a way to twist dark magick into a spell that would let her last forever. No one really knows if she's actually alive down in the wastes of the Witch's Continent, but new rumors sometimes drift about on dark nights when the rain is especially heavy.
