![]() Hi, you! If you have been following Mr. Himaruya's webcomic-turned-manga-turned-anime, Axis Powers Hetalia, and you are okay with it and want to find a place where a lot of people know APH, then by all means, make yourself at home! We'd be glad to accept you. What is this thing you’ve got going on here, Raven? Well-it’s a casual fanclub, and of APH. This is very casual-sometimes just something as simple as sharing information about the characters. APH is an ongoing anime/manga series that depicts world history—renaissance, WWII, and the such from the times of the Roman Empire to modern days, and the characters are the anthropomorphic countries, from ancient powers [Rome, Ancient Egypt, Ancient Greece, etc] to micronations [Sealand, Seborga, etc.] Above in the picture we have Taiwan, Liechtenstein, and Belarus. There are countless fanart, conventions, doujins, spinoff games [HetaOni being the seemingly most popular now], music [Hetaloid, anyone?] based off those countries. Never heard of APH? You are welcome to join us as well~! You can check out this article on TvTropes for more information, or this article on Know Your Meme, for better explanation for any meme seem/derived from this show. If you want to get to know the characters better, please follow this link for a simple character introduction. 8/24/2012 - Thread is created. | Please don't cuss, guys. Children can be on this website. Or, at least star out the letters? Use common sense on this one--if it's needed to be starred out, then please do so. | Be kind to everyone. Don't trash someone's ship/pairing or their favorite character. Let's all act mature here. | Spam [chain-mail, irrelevant and/or one-word posts] will not be tolerated here. Stay on topic, please? c: | Show respect to everything. Although this one sort of ties in with Number 2 up there, this is Hetalia. It's not right to make jokes about serious historical events. Not everything is happy-happy-fun-fun, and we respect that. Nothing offensive will be tolerated. | Please, nothing too 'out of line'. Don't go too wacky with your ideals, please. If you have something that won't be appropriate for a relatively family site, then please don't post it. Everything should be kept clear away from the R rated section. 1. Raven573 2. opalescence. 3. My sincere apologies if it seems this way -- this had been preplanned with materials, it is a coincidence. Now, I can see that you did make a Hunger Games fanclub a few days ago. It's not meant to be intentional, I swear. ^^"
Squiby is a smaller website than most, and it's difficult finding others that truly have a passion for different things. Since this FC is still very much in construction right now, if you aren't satisfied with how things are formatted here, (I understand completely, I've been through this frustration, most of the time it does turn out to be misunderstandings) please feel free to shoot me a PM with a list of things you would like altered or changed, so every fanclub is unique. C: Thanks, -R. |

| Dude...thanks. This has the new thread smell on, really. I really like Giripan, it's so compatible. And Rochu. And Prucan. Sorry, I'm going to need time to think that one out. :D I saw an amazing story about the ancients -- it had Ancient Greece x Rome and Ancient Egypt x China. |

Yeah, new thread smell FTW. Ancient Egypt x China? Wow-I've heart of Ancient Egypt x Ancient Greece and Ancient Egypt x Ancient Rome, but never China. Also, Rome x China is so lovable. Once, I've heard someone say that Rome x China is like China x N/S Italy. There are a few nations that come close to sharing my birthdate, but never one landing spot-on owo |

Username: HgBird Nickname: Bird, if you will. Tell us about yourself: Well, you see, I'm a person who gets easily addicted to things and just happens to really like anime. Favorite character(s): Switzerland, Romano, and the Bad Touch Trio. Favorite ship(s): Prussia/Hungary <3 Germany/Italy Sweden/Finland (Guilty Pleasure/Not Quite Canon Ships:) England/America France/England Couldn't decide between the two, so I concluded that I actually like the polyamorous relationship of America/England/France. Spain/Romano Greece/Japan Poland/Lithuania Country you relate to the most: I feel like I have to say America, just on the principle that I'm American. Although I don't stuff my face with hamburgers every other minute while still not gaining weight. So probably a mixture between: All of Hungary as a child, all of Italy's personality just not as exaggerated, Romano's tsundere and general bad attitude, and probably Sealand's inability to actually exist Canada's inability to be noticed despite being a great nation. Seems like a contradiction. Other: -> MyAnimeList

I haven't gotten around to making a bio yet, but I'll get started right away. c:
Oh, yes. Happens to me all the time. You won't believe how many times Pochi-kun and Hanatamago were shifted off to the center, or just failed to show up altogether on that beginning slide. x_x" Username: Raven573. I would usually go with 'Raven573' on most websites that I joined a long time ago [any time from 2-4 years ago], but don't bother with 'Raven573', that is quite formal and I don't believe I will get to that level of formality. Tell us about yourself: I like anime and cookies. When I first found APH it was on a vocaloid MAD. Canterella, I believe. Someone noted on the comments how much Kaito looked like Russia, and I became confused and searched it up. Nickname: Raven Favorite character(s): Italy Veneziano, Finland, Norway, and Hong Kong. N. Italy's so happy all the time, Finland is cheerful, Norway is mysterious, and Hong Kong is funny. Favorite ship(s): Prussia/Hungary. They're like childhood friends who share a hot/cold relationship all the time. Also, kudos to SuFin. It's rather charming, the way Sweden claims Finland as his wife. They already have a family, too-them, and Hana and Sealand. Country you relate to the most:Japan I even took a personality quiz for this one. We do share similar hobbies a lot, and we're rather quiet. Other: I think I covered everything...right? |

Yay-we have new members! Bird, you have no idea how happy I am to see you. I thought I was going to have to fangirl alone for a while, with only R-chan here for company. /cough er, yeah... ^^" But welcome! It's always refreshing to see more people interested in APH. :D Do you have a birthday in common with a country's? I don't-I'm somewhere between Sea-kun and China. Well-I'm off to reading doujins now. |

When I first found AHP... well, I've known about it for a while, mainly from rabid fangirls on dA talking about how they giggle uncontrollably when their History teachers say something about countries invading the nether regions of other counties. Only these past two months have I actually watched it out of curiosity. It isn't one of my serious anime, but it's not horrible for a series about anthropomorphic countries detailing stereotypes and geopolitical allegory five minutes at a time. |D I just adore Prussia/Hungary, specifically their childhood relationship. It was the most adorable thing I've seen in a while. I love how tsundere Hungary is with him, and I love how innocent Prussia is when it comes to girls and romantic issues. In Love With a Girl {Prussia x Hungary} (Pretty much sums up my feels of this pairing.) First Kiss {Prussia x Hungary} (Just kind of adorable.) @ Opalescence. LOL. I'm happy to see you too~ Although Raven doesn't seem like bad company. Nope. I'm like you. Sealand's birthday is the closest to mine. I was a Friday the 13th baby of September. |

Oh--I've seen some of the certainly ...wilder fans on dA as well, mainly about Germany x Italy. They also seem to like claiming that Hetalia helps with getting perfect marks in History classes. As something of a history nut myself, I can say that Hetalia won't help with actual History class, but it does seem to spark interest into picking up textbooks again. Some of the historical in-jokes pass by quite easily as well without detection, and it leaves one feeling quite special when they get the joke. :D
I've started the series around a year ago, but I've never really 'gotten into it'. Either way, it is quite amusing--that's what I watch it for. Just an interesting, quirky, casual anime. c: Prussia/Hungary is quite cute, like the way they quarreled but genuinely cared for each other as children. I liked In Love With a Girl the best out of the two of them, it's quite emotional and ties with the music nicely. |

LOL. oh man, no way would you survive a History class if you were just learning from Hetalia, but it is a really good incentive to pay attention to it if you like the series. Just today actually I was working on some AP History work, and I got to this line about how the Spanish and Dutch were so busy fighting that it left England 'unmolested' ...which is amusing out of context. I swear Hetalia has more hints of male/male ships than it does heterosexual ones. I don't mean to spark any type of controversial debate, but do you have an negative feelings about slash pairings? Because I'll avoid bringing them up if so. I know how they're just not a lot of people's cup of tea. I agree completely. It's nice if you have a little bit of free time, and you don't want to be too emotionally invested in something at the moment. c: It also stands that none of the characters experienced any character development, but that's understandable considering they're countries. Consequentaly, their (non-romantic) relationships experienced more screen time and a tad more development, so that was what I was interested in as well as the humor and history jokes. In Love With a Girl's my favorite. I think the song works for them quite well, actually. (I think with the other one I just like the song for the most part.) |

LOLOLOL. Oh, yes- that is very noticeable--that is probably most likely because of the large male cast, as opposed to the fact that Hungary, Belarus, Seychelles, and Ukraine are like, the only female countries to receive any, if at all, screen time. Taiwan might make an appearance in Season 5, if all the rumours go to plan. I’ll have to say I am quite neutral towards all pairings, because I mainly watch Hetalia for the humour and giggles. The good thing about something as simple and comedic as Hetalia is that you don’t need to be emotionally invested, too. It's all humor and laughs here. Hetalia is known to take refuge in audacity, some people claim that that is the case when you are dealing with a touchy subject like history. It also makes things like these a daily experience. Hetalia is just full of surprises. :D I loved the pictures in First Kiss, but In Love with a Girl had more meaning and sentiment overall. |

Hungary and Lichtenstein had the most, I think. Seychelles had, like, one line in the anime ...and Belarus kind of frightened me. Well, just about everyone thought Chibitalia was a girl. He was actually one of the most feminine stereotypical characters there was. |D Oh my. That picture. <3 I'm totally going to award you bonus points for using TvTropes. Ah, don't get me started on Prussia x Hungary pictures. I start looking at them, and I just can't stop. Some of them are beyond... adorable. Is that the right word? |
