Frost Draphyn
Draphyn [egg < 21, hatchling < 101, adult 101+]
These creatures are related to elemental drakes and resemble griffons, except that their hindquarters appear dragonlike rather than lionlike. Their physiology includes elemental qualities. They are semi intelligent, able to understand language, and possess a strong imprinting instinct. These qualities give them the potential to make fierce and powerful aerial mounts for a humanoid, provided said being can withstand their elemental effects and meet their considerable demand for food and attention.
Frost Draphyn are an uncommon breed, resembling a hybrid of ice phoenix and fire drake. They radiate an aura of cold, which can be intensified to lethal levels... an effective defense mechanism against creatures of opposing elements and to some degree, even other ice elementals.
