Squall is a 17-year old who carries a specialized weapon called the Gunblade. He never seems to show his feelings and can even be seen indifferent to others. In FF VIII, he is a student at Balamb Garden, a prestigious military academy for elite mercenaries known as "SeeDs." After meeting Rinoa, who was in a resistance group, Squall's destiny begins its dramatic change.
