Fire Dragon
Fire dragons, unlike their Vulcan cousins, breathe fire rather than spit lava. They are more slender and have the ability to fly, which Vulcan's do not. Fire dragons lay their eggs in caves situated on high cliffs and use their breathe to incubate them. Hatchlings are born without horns, but are far from defenseless. Not only can they breathe fire from their first breath, but parental care exists for all of the young dragon's life. Fire dragons live in small family groups protected by the eldest and strongest alpha male. Fire dragons come in few variations of mottled reds, yellows, and bright oranges. Some of the oldest fire's often have flecks of bright blue appearing in places, but few get to that ripe old age. Males and females alike share similar colorations and aside from size it is hard to tell the highly aggressive males from the slightly less aggressive females, so best be wary.
