Chuufi - Natural
Pronounced "CHOO-fee"
Docile and mostly unintelligent, these small animals are usually bred to be eaten or to be ruled by others. These unfortunate creatures have even been used to test weapons and other various things on. Though cute and cuddly, their lifespans are short wherever they go because of their servitude. Normally, a chuufi could live a full life if they weren't constantly being worn down by the races oppressing them. They are clever, but they don't have the brainpower to remove themselves from their inevitable servitude, and many higher races have fought to free the Chuufi. After many years of arguing, Chuufi were finally given the rights they deserved -- to not be used as test subjects for things more horrifying than most can imagine. They are still hunted for food, though no longer for sport as all sport hunting has been outlawed on Arroumania. Being bred on farms as fodder for larger animals has also been outlawed. They can be adopted as pets and live freely in the grasslands of Haerta. Those that live in cities and amongst more intelligent beings are working to improve their own education and "evolve" beyond the grassland nothings they see themselves as being.
